Hello, World – The Journey Begins!

Hello, World! After years of following the norm, I am ready to put it aside and follow my heart on this journey across the world!

Travel My Road is all about putting your fears aside, and disregarding what society expects of us. It’s about listening to your heart. I am facing a new stage in my life after having spent so much time dedicating myself to others. I have served my country, worked tremendously hard to get my degrees and then joined the corporate world. Then I started running a small business, went back to the corporate sector, and began serving as a caregiver.

I am now looking at the road ahead of me, the next stage of my life, and how I want to live it.

I am preparing to sell everything, set out on the road, and see the world. The Travel My Road Blog focuses on affordable travel, how it is possible to work while traveling to finance your journey, how to overcome those barriers that may be holding you back from living your dreams and the absolutely spectacular places there are to see throughout the world.

No matter how you are traveling, there is something here for you. Whether you travel by RV or are foot loose and fancy-free, it’s all about travel, what to see, and how to do it affordably.

Join me and interact by sharing your experiences and recommendations.

Hi Tina…….thanks for following, it’s an exciting time. Not to mention I’m a little nervous about selling it all, but slowly I am weeding things out. Please feel free to share anything at anytime. Take care!

    Hi Tom,
I ran across you on RVillage and since you are just up the road from us, I decided to follow your blog. I am at the SKP Park Sierra in Coarsegold. Hope you came out of the fire okay and anxious to follow you.

Hi David – thanks for the follow: Yes I am getting ready to enter a new phase of my life and trying to learn as much about Full Timing as possible. I know the SKP Park, it seems like a good group of people there. We did come out the fire alright, living here in the mountains we thank God for the Fire Crews and the job they do everyday. They surely have my utmost respect and admiration for the hard work and the job they do.

I originally saw a post from you on Nomadic Matt then I linked in to your site
Your story has some parallels with my journey

I, too, am trying to figure a way to earn money while I travel or earn money to provide funds for travel Therefore, I look forward to your blog and getting some inspiration and ideas

    Where do you live presently?

PS one of my bucket list adventures is to bike/hike in Italy and I found a great tour company yet need to curtail the cost so I am presently seeking some out of the box thinking options in order to fufill a dream

Your story is inspiring and I wish you success Thanks for sharing

I applaud you for taking the first step, sometimes that first one is the biggest (and scariest) one. I will email you separately, but you have to look at the idea of how do I fund my travels from both ends. How can I save money to start and continue to earn an income while traveling. As well as how can I travel afford ably so I can stretch that money out and travel for the longest possible time. Nomadic Matt is the man when it comes to that, but I have learned there are a lot of us out there. Check you e-mail 🙂
